NEW RELEASE: SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST

Today my book, “Survival of the Fittest” was released!

INTRODUCTION:

The walk to survival is a long way. Rhythm must not be broken.

My resolve to produce this material is stemmed from my desire to let you understand the terrain we play in, the conspiracy against us, the socio-political landscape of Nigeria and the survival strategies of these times.

I will take you down the memory lane to show you how the mistakes of yesteryears have produced undone youths and unfinished men with crooked ambitions and how our journey has been defined by a major error.

Any nation that produces more vagabonds than leaders must be ready to manage a generation of idiots. Democracy will begin to work when our curriculum is designed in such a way that it builds the leadership capacities of its products.

As a 21st century Nigerian youth, your future is dead on arrival. You are an endangered species and your survival is based on your response to the new rules of engagement. The system of education that was supposed to prepare you for survival is deficient in its ability to do so.

So we are being educated into an uncertain future. We are being educated into frustrations. We are being educated into an already over-crowded labour market.
We cannot sit idly and say we do not know what will happen in the future. Because if we let events shape our future, they would create a scenario that we do not want. And if we do not choose the future, we give allowance for the events of the past to repeat themselves.

During the industrial age, it is absolutely normal to go to school, get a degree and you have the guarantee of a good job. In this technological age, the strategy of the market has changed. Your survival in this age is tied to your understanding of the market. When the rules of engagement change, the strategy of engagement must also change so that the tough can survive.
As a Nigerian, if a day comes that your well-being is completely in the hands of the government you will be miserably frustrated. The government does not have any plan that accommodates your needs. Your future as it were lies in your hands. You must learn to succeed on your own and to give yourself the life you want. It is suicidal to rely on the government for anything.
"The future belong to those who can see ahead of others and by superior wisdom and insight have committed themselves to preparing for it."

The Pain. The Gain. The Sweat. The Survival.
