THE FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAM

There is a fight for your dream. It is a fight of faith; a fight for the future.
“This is because every dream, vision and destiny will be contested for.”

Dreams do not come true because you dreamt; they come true because you are willing to fight. No truly great man exists who has never experienced something that attempted to defeat him and his dream. Every great man in history and contemporary times will tell you that there were times and events that confronted them and made them to almost give up. But they never did.

Your dreams will be contested for by the events, situations and circumstances of life. Strive Masiyiwa, the richest man in Zimbabwe and the founder of ECONET Group and Kwese TV narrated a time in his life when he lost millions of dollars to a particular lawsuit. Practically, he lost everything. At that point, he had two options: to give up on his dreams or to be willing to start all over again. He chose the latter. Today, he had been named as the first billionaire in Zimbabwe and his presence is felt in many nations of the world. Why? He was willing to fight.

Do not quench the flame of your dream; let it find expression. If your dream is delayed, it may be that you are not ready for it yet. There is a time when the dream is not ready for the dreamer and there is another time when the dreamer is not ready for the dream. Either way, keep working on yourself. Keep getting ready!

Have you ever watched the film, 3 idiots? There was a college student named Joy Lobo who gave up on his dream because he couldn’t fight. He invented an amazing design: a camera atop a helicopter that can be used for traffic updates, security and surveillance. But just at the brink of his breakthrough, he gave up on his dream and on life because someone did not belief in him to help nurture his dream to reality.

Life will offer you either of these 2 things:
"What it wishes on its own accord and what you are willing to fight for."
  • ·         Is your dream worth fighting for?
  • ·         Is your career worth fighting for?
  • ·         Are your goals worth fighting for?
  •           Is your family worth fighting for?
Sometimes the fight comes because people did not believe in you, sometimes the fight comes from your family and friends because they did not want you to reign and sometimes it is due to the fact that they do not have the passion that you have. And sometimes the fight is against your emotion: Low self-esteem, Complacency, Inferiority complex and Laziness.

I remember a young man who stayed with me sometimes ago, I looked at him and said, “You have great potentials locked up on your inside, but you have a high tendency for laziness and indifference.”
If there is something you must never do, you must never down-size your dream in order to receive the approval of men or the acceptance of people. Such a decision will lead to regret later in life. That means you must be ready to stand alone for your dream. You must be the last man standing. You may need to make costly sacrifices and let go of some things and some people but it is only for a while. The day must come when everybody must leave the security of their nests and pursue their destiny.

Don’t die in your nest, go out and pursue what God intended for you.

In the fight for your dream, there is a separation you must understand. It is a separation for destiny. You must be willing to hibernate to really fight. The fight for your dream is not a ‘We’ fight but ‘I’ fight. Yes, people can give encouragements and help, but it is you that must really persevere, focus and walk the road to the fulfilment of that dream.

Your dream may not happen in the first year and it may not happen in the second year. It may not even produce any result in the third year. Keep at it. Work at it. Sleep by it. Invest your energy and zeal in it. And when you it starts speaking, the whole world will pause to hear its speech.

It is because people lose the will to fight that they lose their future.
Many things can be said and written about you; but let it never be said that you gave up. The most dangerous thing that can happen on the road of destiny is a loss of motivation. Let your anchor hold. Keep fighting; you don’t know which day will be that day!
I hope you find true meaning, contentment, and passion in your life. I hope you navigate the difficult times and come out with greater strength and resolve. I hope you find courage to lean in to your dream and run the world. Because the world needs you to change it. The world is counting on you.

“Your future is worth a thousand fight; don’t give up on it.”
