IN PURSUIT OF PASSION
“Some people
are in your life for a season and some are in your life for a lifetime. Your
greatest challenge and regret will be when you try to make seasonal people
lifetime participant”
It
can be quite amazing how we run
this rat-race called “life”. Consider the preview: most of our parents gave birth to us
without knowing the ‘why’ of our existence. We grew up and went to school without knowing ‘why’ we did.
Then at a point we pursued a career which we proudly called “Destiny”. After graduation, we ask: What's next? And then, the search for ‘Green Pastures” begins. At the same time, we are
shopping for a potential spouse, casting our vote for the most impressive
applicant. Things get in place and we give birth to children.
Sadly, the very master plan which our parents used in constructing their life is the same plan we cling to and sub-consciously used in constructing our own future. Though the ‘brick layer’ is different, the architect is the same! And the cycle of frustration revolves down the generation. To be sincere, some of us can look at our back ground and childhood experiences and admit that we were acting the very script our parents handed over to us in their sub-conscious state. I agree with an author who asserts “No man can build a personal Destiny on the experiences of another”

"Don’t find yourself as a tenant in the terrain of your own Destiny."
I’d
always thought education equals wisdom but of recent, I personally discovered
that there is a distinct difference between Wisdom of the Head and Wisdom of the Mind. One will see you through
school and give you a job; the other will see you through life and
make you a man of perpetual impact. Understand: Our courses of study are never
our Destiny neither are they our Destination. No course of study on its own, no
matter how lofty or prestigious has the capacity to determine any man future or Destiny. Your class of Degree though significant and necessary, lacks
the authority to decide or design your future or how far you will go in life!
What’s the point I’m
driving at?
Live
life in pursuit of your Passion. When God created you, He never intended that
your Greatness be at the mercy of your certificate or the nation’s economy. To
avoid this, He ‘wired’ into you potentials and Talents. Your future is tied to your gifting. Your future is tied to your potentials. I encourage you: Don’t
invest your life in a game of trial and error. Don’t let your education drown your creativity. Live out the Real You.
Work at your Passion; Sleep by your Passion and Cry at your Passion.
And when you find it, the whole world will know you’ve
found it.
